Welcome to My Game.
The Objective of My Game:
Although I believe I am an over-achiever and want to select 5 areas of my life where I can improve, my first 90 days (assuming our team will make it past the first 30) will be about leading our team so that we don’t fail as well as disciplining myself to make and keep my commitments, no matter how big or small, to strengthen my character.
However, by aligning me leading my team and making and keeping commitments with the 3 areas in which I want to improve I will accomplish my game goals. I see them all as being symbiotic rather than different. Focus in one area will help me in the other areas.
Reflecting for some time on which areas that I should select I have changed my game now for at least the third time before even beginning – why? Because I was selecting areas that I could have demonstrated the most success or areas that I enjoyed the most or finally, areas that were the most measurable.
Rather than focus on the external success or focus on areas that I can marginally improve, I am going to focus on areas that I can drastically improve. And as my partner has already said, doing this will help me improve my other areas as a bi-product.
My spirituality (I need to get back to praying and going to church regularly). This is where it all begins and I have strayed from this. I need to better align my purpose in life with my day-to-day activities. My mind (it’s the most powerful muscle in your body) – Like T. Harv Eker says, it’s what you know that holds you back not what you don’t know. Education (although I haven’t had time for my Master’s of Doctorate) I am committing to writing my first book within 90 days. This in combination with my Dale Carnegie experience will make me feel even better about where I am with my education. My environment (both at home, at my office and on my laptop – which I carry with me just about everywhere) I want to drastically reduce the time it takes to find things.
I intend to play powerfully!
